  • Gulab Jamun

This is probably the first name that comes to our mind when we think of Bengali sweets. Gulab jamun is the only perfect way to end your meal with this great piece of dessert. Here is how to make gulab jamun– 


  • 200 grams flour
  • 200 grams sooji or rava
  • One and a half tsp baking powder
  • 2 litres water
  • Up to 8 roughly crushed cardamom
  • 200 grams Nestlé MILKMAID
  • 600 grand grated paneer
  • One and a half TSP baking soda
  • 1 kg sugar
  • Oil for frying

How to prepare gulab jamun:

Step 1- Prepare the sugar syrup by boiling sugar into the water. Remove it from the fire and add crushed cardamom and let it cool. 

Step 2- Take a bowl and add sooji, flour, grated paneer, Nestlé MILKMAID, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix it until a soft dough is prepared. 

Step 3- Take small portions and gently roll them ina round shape. Do it with the whole dough. 

Step 4- Fry the small pieces in oil at a low flame until it turns golden brown. 

Step 5- After frying each piece, put it into the sugar syrup. Once all the pieces are done, boil the sugar syrup and remove it from the fire. Enjoy your dessert. 

  • Rasmalai

Even if you are not a dessert person, you can not say no to Rasmalai. Its sweet and soft texture and how it just melts in our mouth make everyone a fan of this dessert. This easy and simple Rasmalai recipe is the answer to your cravings. 


  • 600 ml Nestlé a+ Nourish milk
  • Up to 10 strands of saffron
  • Up to 12 chopped pistachios
  • 300 grams sugar
  • 200 grams Nestlé MILKMAID
  • 300 grams mashed paneer
  • Half tsp cardamom powder
  • 1-litre water

How to prepare Rasmalai: 

Step 1- Make a smooth dough of mashed paneer. 

Step 2- Prepare the sugar syrup by boiling water and sugar into a pan. 

Step 3- Take small pieces from the dough and flatten it until it takes shape. 

Step 4- Add the small pieces into the sugar syrup and cook for 10 minutes on medium flame. Do it with the whole dough. Let it cool. 

Step 5- Take another pan and pour in the Nestlé MILKMAID and Nestlé a+ nourishing milk. Let it boil and reduce the same to half. Remove from the fire and add cardamom powder and saffron. Mix it well and let it cool. 

Step 6- Transfer the pieces of Rasgulla from sugar syrup to the saffron ras by squeezing it gently to remove the excess syrup. Garnish it with chopped pistachios and enjoy. 

  • ChannarPayesh

One of the most popular Bengali sweets is Payesh, thick in consistency and very creamy in texture. 


  • 400 grams Nestlé MILKMAID
  • 500 grams grated paneer
  • 3 tbsp chopped Kaju
  • 1-litre Nestlé a+ nourish milk
  • Half TSP cardamom powder
  • 3 tbsp kishmish or raisins

How to prepare: 

Step 1- Take a pan and boil milk in it, followed by the addition of Nestlé MILKMAID. 

Step 2- Put grated paneer and stir it well. Cook the mixture on a low flame until it turns thick. Add cardamom powder to the mixture and mix it well. 

Step 3- Garnish it with chopped Kaju and kishmish. Enjoy the dessert. 

  • Sandesh 

Sandesh is known as the queen of all the Bengali sweet dishes. The recipe takes around half an hour only. 


  • 1 tbsp maida
  • Half kg paneer
  • 400 grams Nestlé MILKMAID
  • 2 tbsp Nestlé Everyday Whitener
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

How to prepare: 

Step 1- Take a thick bottomed pan and heat it. Prepare a mixture of all the ingredients to make a smooth paste. 

Step 2- Transfer the mixture into the heated pan and let it boil. Once it is boiled, cook on low flame. 

Step 3- Stir the mixture continuously for around 20 minutes or until it gets dry. Transfer it to a greased plate and allow it to cool. Cut the dry mixture into desired shapes and enjoy.
