Parenthood has a lot of involvement from a child’s infancy through their youthful stage (high school graduate). At times the challenge can be overwhelming as the child’s health needs to be in check at all times. However, Dr. Carrie Jones is a board-certified pediatrician at Argyle Pediatrics in Texas, she compassionately offers health services to see children grow in a healthy and happy life. She creates a healthy relationship with her patients to meet their specific needs.

Educational Background

Dr. Jones attained a degree in Biology from the prestigious University of Baylor in Waco, Texas. She later joined the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she gained interest in pediatrics, later getting her medical degree. She then went to Naval Medical Center in San Diego to finish her residency and internship in Pediatrics.

Services Available

Dr. Carrie offers several healthcare services, as discussed below.

  • Newborn Care

Dr. Jones assesses the weight, height, head circumference, and length five days from birth. She screens the baby’s reflexes, hearing ability and does an overall physical evaluation of the baby. The doctor creates time with the parent to discuss the diet of the child and general lifestyle in depth that can be either an influence from the parent such as indoor smoking or consumption of a healthy diet like good nutrition and sleeping habits.

  • Allergies and Asthma

Asthma is a chronic medical condition that causes difficulties in breathing. It is a result of inflammation in the breathing tubes that cause the air movement to be strenuous. Dr. Carrie keeps her patients proactive by providing diagnoses and treatments for possible breathing challenges due to asthma.

  • Developmental Screening or ADHD

The developmental screen gives a chance for Dr. Jones to assess the child’s gradual growth from one stage to the next. Some of the aspects she examines include:

  1. Adaptive skills.
  2. Fine motor skills.
  3. Problem-solving skills.
  4. Gross motor skills.
  • Sports and Injuries Concussions

Injuries causing damage in children are common occurrences. Some of the treatments she offers are on conditions like:

  1. Dehydration.
  2. Fractures.
  3. Muscle strains and sprains.
  4. Knee injuries.

In some instances, she also handles concussions due to a child suffering from a blow or a fall on the head, causing trauma. Scenarios such as concussions have symptoms such as dizziness, blurred visions, and headaches.

  • Strep Throat And Ear Infections

Ear infections accrue from viruses or bacteria from flu or cold gain entry to the ear. The germs settle at the middle ear, causing inflammation affecting the eardrum, causing pain, or even difficulty hearing. Dr. Carrie performs diagnoses, prescribes antibiotics, and even cleans the ear from germs.

  • Atopic/Eczema Dermatitis

Eczema is a severe skin condition due to contact with irritants or allergens. The cause of eczema could be sweating, stress, allergies, fabrics, and soaps.

  • Well-Checks Immunization

Perpetual well-checks are essential since they help the child and the doctor to detect any possible disease in its nascent stages, and treatment administration to start immediately to curb the situation.

Hobbies

Dr. Carrie spends her free time with her daughter, 3 sons, and husband Richey. She is a great baseball and basketball fan. You can often find her cheering her three sons on the baseball field or cheering her daughter on the basketball court.
