NEET is one of the biggest and most coveted medical entrance exams carried out on a colossal scale, enabling candidates to take up admissions to medical courses. NEET UG Registration 2020 anticipates more than 15 lakh students’ applications inviting a high level of competency like never before. While some of the applicants would be taking up the exam for the first time, some have already experienced NEET. In any which case, the determinant factor to crack the exam remains the same. Some are discussed below:

Master the fundamentals – NEET questions primarily assess your basics. Therefore, developing a conceptual clarity is imperative. Start clearing queries, if any and strengthen your basics.

Get acquainted thoroughly with the NEET 2020 Syllabus. The syllabus serves as a catalogue and outlines your course of study.

Content from NCERT Syllabus for classes 11 & 12 must be at your fingertips, must form your core around NCERT. Once done, try attempting good problems from handpicked sources.

NEET Physics requires practice in addition to strengthening knowledge theoretically. From the point of view of time management, it is an important aspect.

The most scoring section is NEET Chemistry. It demands time as it can be subdued only with an exhaustive reading, given its vastness. All three subsections Physical, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry must be well-read. Try interlinking similar concepts, it can save your time and help understand better.

In the last few months, solve as many previous years’ question papers as possible. Take up mock tests and learn through them. Also, while solving these, attempt them in an ideal exam scenario.

Make it a point to solve at least 80-100 questions every day, as per your convenience, without fail from all the 4 sub-sections.

Avoid referring to multiple resources. For instance, different sources offer different ways of solving problems. This may lead to unnecessary confusion. Stick to one method of solving problems and apply the same strategy to any type of question.

Cover each and every aspect of the exam right from the exam pattern, marking scheme till the answering strategy. Avoid guesswork, that is the last thing you would want in an exam where there is negative marking.

Study for at least 11-12 hours a day. This time must be strictly dedicated to studying. Avoid distractions in any form.

While solving numericals, do not go through it casually. Work out problems even if you think you know them. This will increase your speed and accuracy. It may also probably lead you to accidentally stumble upon your own short cut for a certain type of question.

Most importantly, stay positive and have a tranquil mindset before attempting the NEET exam. Good Luck!
